Finally I'm back here blogging again after 2 and a half years of absence. Not much changes all these years, life is all about the same as it goes.
I had been doing in this media industries for more than 4 years, firstly first, I enjoy what I do and it's my childhood dreams of what I wanted to pursue. It feels so good when you are appearing on National TV and the whole island is watching you. I love to perform and entertain people, I even perform on stage during my secondary school days, it's just what you love to do. Okay cool, I found my direction and is investing time and effort to go further.
I made an inquiry of pursuing a full time actor at a local film company 'Mediacorp' but however it was not realistic, from what I find out that not many people can cross this path, being a part-time actor is much more achievable, like anybody can qualify.
Surviving in this local media industry as part-time acting is not a easy task but since you are on this line and love what you do, you should put it as first priority. You seek out for a full time job outside, take any job as you need to have some income flowing to your bank account, I've doing all this ample of times and is ranging from Logistic sector to Customer Service industry and to Sales line, whatever stuff you can think of, I've done that just to survive your dream job. Am I really unlucky to be born and live in Singapore whereby pursuing acting career is nearly impossible. If I live in states or hong kong, I believe my life is much more comfortable there.
I'm a trained actor, I can fulfill what the director require of me, I can show expression. Why am I not being recognize in this society? Or should I be positive to say, the society wasted a useful resources? So you tell me, is it wrong to pursue my dreams, is it wrong to do what I really love and enjoy to do to the max? Sometimes, you really want to vent your anger on somebody or something. It's really farked up seriously.
